Saraswati is the Goddess of learning, knowledge, music, wisdom and all creative arts. On the occasion of Basant Panchami, people also worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
To celebrate the onset of the spring season, a special assembly was organized on 1st February, 2017 at ShreeRam World School. The special assembly was presented by the students of class VI. The assembly commenced with all students singing the popular SaraswatiVandana ‘Hey ShardeMaa’.This was followed by a short talk which enlightened the students about the significance of the day. Learning about the importance and the rituals attached with this festival
helps us all to stay connected with our culture. A relevant Hindi poem on the ‘Basant’ season was recited. The assembly concluded with a beautiful dance performance in praise of Goddess Saraswati. It was a feast for the eyes. The students also learnt about the importance of respectingbooks as they are repositories of wisdom and knowledge. The assemblycarried a message that like flowers, our students, will also cherish and bloom in the spirit of Basant Panchami throughout their lives.
