PROJECT PARIDHI 2018
22nd December 2018: PROJECT PARIDHI 2018
Project Paridhi (Winter Solstice), a flagship project of SPACE India, was organized at Qutub Minar on 22nd December 2018.

The project included a hands-on Science activity to measure the shadows cast by the Sun at different time intervals. Some students of Class VI got an opportunity to participate in this workshop. The measurements of the shadows were used to calculate the circumference of the Earth by using a trigonometric formula. The exact time at which the lowest shadow of the Sun observed was at 12:19 pm.

Through this innovative activity, the students learned about the Earth’s circumference. It was indeed a great learning experience for them.

Maha Behes 2018-19
16th December 2018: Maha Behes 2018-19
Students of ShreeRam World School participated in the ‘Maha Behes-2018’, a national level debate competition held at Presidium School, Gurugram, on 16th December 2018. Jia Maini of Class VIII won a Bronze Medal for being one of the top debaters. Over 800 debaters from 14 cities across India converged for the fourth Maha Behes.            

All the participants presented their views and spoke enthusiastically. They got an opportunity to work on their public speaking skills and also learnt how to debate in a fierce mode with controlled behaviour. It was a great learning experience for all of them.

30th November 2018: One Nation Reading Together at ShreeRam World School
                                        Celebrating the Joy of Reading

ShreeRam World School, Sector 10, Dwarka, in collaboration with Scholastic India Ltd, conducted the event of One Nation Reading Together on 30th November 2018. This event encouraged everyone to explore and discover the magical world of books and immerse themselves in the vast ocean of words, ideas, thoughts and fantasy. The students took the pledge penned by Paro Anand, the renowned author of children’s books. A Graffiti Wall was placed where students were asked to scribble their views, draw or paste anything to express their love for reading. This event aimed to create awareness amongst the students regarding importance of reading, which is the need of the hour. 

Head of School, Mrs Sudha Sadangi, appreciated the enthusiastic response of the students and staff and encouraged everyone to celebrate reading as a pleasurable and enriching experience.

27th November 2018: Twinkle Toes
“Dance is the poetic bearing of the soul through motion.”

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Inter-section Dance Competition was organised by ShreeRam World School for students of classes Preschool, Preprimary, I and II from 27th-30th November 2018 in the school campus.

The themes of the competition were Freestyle for Preschool, Folk dance for Preprimary, Contemporary for class I and Retro dance form for class II. Students across all the classes participated with great passion. The spectators witnessed the enthusiasm and energy of the little wonders as they enthralled everyone with their expressions and moves dressed up in colourful attires. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The audience enjoyed every moment of the programme. It was indeed a spectacular and memorable show.

20th November 2018: Special Assembly on Milad-Un-Nabi
Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated on the 12th day of the third month of the Islamic calendar. It is celebrated to remember the birthday of Prophet Mohammad.

The shining stars of Class I Lily conducted a special assembly on the occasion on 20th November 2018. The assembly commenced with the school prayer followed by a sizzling and mesmerizing Qawali performance by the little ones. They enlightened the audience about the significance of the occasion. The students also sang a foot-tapping song highlighting the importance of India as a secular country.

On this day, special prayers are held in mosques. Milad-Un-Nabi is a day to remember the teachings and kindness of the Holy Prophet. 

The message that all festivals are equally important and that we should all participate in celebrating them came across simply and effectively. The efforts of the children was much appreciated by respected Headmistress, Ms Sudha Sadangi, who encouraged the children to follow the path of peace, love and friendship.

Students of ShreeRam World School have brought laurels to the school by doing wonders in the Inter-School Talent Show 2018 held at N K Bagrodia Global School, Sector 17, Dwarka. Yashvardhan of Class VIII and Aryan of Class VII bagged the first position in Creating music using waste material Competition, Namman of Class IV A bagged the third position in Solo Singing Competition, Ashmita of Class VII bagged the third position in the Solo Dance Competition and Arnavi of Class V B and Ruhaani Banga of Class III C bagged the third position in the Theme-based Flower Decoration Competition. Kudos to the young achievers!

Children’s Day is celebrated with great zeal and zest every year on 14th November in the premises of Shreeram World School and 2018 was no exception. The celebration started by paying tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly known as Chacha Nehru. This was followed by a Cultural Panorama presented by the teachers. There was foot tapping music and energetic dance along with amusing enactments. The program concluded with a fun quiz and a vibrant dance session in which all the students and teachers participated enthusiastically.

05th November 2018: Special Assembly on Diwali
Diwali symbolises the spiritual ‘victory of good over evil’ marking the triumph of light over darkness and the beginning of the Hindu New Year. 

Little ones of Classes I Daffodil and Tulip conducted a special assembly on the auspicious occasion of Diwali on 5th November 2018. The assembly commenced with the school prayer and the rendition of the shloka ‘Vakratunda Mahakaya’ by the students. The talented children performed a beautiful dance drama depicting the story of Ramayana. They highlighted the significance of the day when Rama, Lakshman and Sita had returned to Ayodhya after 14 years in exile and in their honour, people decorated their houses with earthen lamps and diyas.

A vibrant dance was performed by the students in traditional attires highlighting the festivity and good cheer of the festival. The importance of green crackers and the problem of pollution were also highlighted through a skit.

The programme concluded with the message to the students to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali and refrain themselves from burning crackers so as to create a clean environment for all living beings.

SAY NO TO CRACKERS
02nd November 2018: SAY NO TO CRACKERS
Keeping in mind the alarming levels of pollution in our city, Delhi, and the health perils associated with bursting firecrackers, ShreeRam World School conducted an anti-cracker awareness campaign to enlighten the students about the long-lasting hazardous effect of bursting crackers on the environment and also on our health.

An interactive session was conducted by a team from the Delhi Police with the excited students of the school. The team urged the students to either ‘SAY NO TO CRACKERS’ or only to burst ‘Green crackers’, which are approved and certified by the PESO. They also spread awareness regarding the recent orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court regarding the ban on firecrackers so that they may disseminate it further in their locality. The young students pledged to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali and spread the message of cheer amongst all.

Games and sports are an integral part of a student’s life. The benefits of playing sports are multiple and teach children life skills like teamwork, leadership and patience. Sports enhance concentration in children and also inculcate amongst them the importance of hard work, perseverance, learning from failure and grasping opportunities. 

With the purpose to instill sportsman spirit among students and to enhance their physical and social skills, ShreeRam World School organized the Annual Athletic Meet on 1st November 2018. Marking the commencement of the grand event, an oath was taken by the School Captain Kaveesh Srivastava along with all the students wherein they solemnly pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. The tiny tots of classes Preschool to II invigorated the atmosphere with a lively Zumba performance. All the houses participated with great enthusiasm and the winner for the ‘Best House Trophy’ was won by Pisa House. Students from classes Preschool to IX participated with tremendous enthusiasm. Games like shoelace race, spoon and lemon race, flat race, ice-cream cone race, sack race and many more were played. The day was filled with exciting victories and the note that winning is not everything, but making the effort to win is.

Head of School, Mrs. Sudha Sadangi, congratulated the winners and honoured them with medals. She also emphasized on the importance of sports and games in our life. The day ended on a cheerful note filled with promises for all the young sports enthusiasts.

ShreeRam World School, Dwarka organised a ‘Show and Tell Competition’ for the students of class Preprimary to showcase the presentation skills of the little shining stars.

Students brought a variety of objects and used them in innovative ways to describe them with lot of confidence, facial expression and voice modulation. The performers were applauded and appreciated by everybody present.

15th October 2018: Special Assembly on Durga Ashtami
A special assembly to celebrate the festival of Durga Puja was held on 15th October at ShreeRam World School.

The students of Class II (Mercury and Venus) showcased a skit accompanied by a mesmerizing and energetic dance performance depicting the killing of the demon Mahishasura by Goddess Durga. The epic battle of Durga and Mahishasura is symbolic of the ultimate victory of good over evil. The dance, ‘Mahishasur Mardini’ also portrayed the nine different forms of Goddess Durga. The audience was spellbound to see the young enthusiasts performing ‘Dhunuchi’ dance with great zeal and vigour. The victory of good over the evil was joyously celebrated and the whole school resonated with festive vibrations.

ShreeRam World School, organized SPACE Explorers workshops for the young minds of classes I-IX to make them understand, explore, experiment and experience the wonders of the universe.

A variety of interesting workshops were conducted:

Moon Watch (Classes I-II) – The students were involved in a fun-filled educative way of understanding the various phases of the Moon through visual story telling. It was a fascinating experience to watch the Moon through a telescope and observe the dark and bright areas on it.

Destination Moon and Planet (Classes III-V) – The students were familiarised with the concept of the phases of the Moon and the movement of the Moon and the Earth. They were made to identify the prominent craters on the Moon through a telescope.

Evening Rendezvous with the Sky (Classes VI-IX) – The students were given a presentation to make them understand the working and handling of a telescope using two major properties of light, namely- refraction and reflection. They analysed the difference between a refractor and a reflector telescope through demonstrations and observations. Some activities were also planned which were designed to ignite curiosity, impart knowledge about space and have fun while learning. They observed the Moon and craters through a telescope; located various planets via telescope and observed their features.

The children were accompanied by their parents who also participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm and excitement. At the end of the session, the students were given a kit for hands-on activities.

Bharam Vats of Class VII participated in the CBSE Central Zone Judo Championship as part of the Inter-School Sports and Games Competition 2018-19 on 8th October 2018 held at GD Salwan Public School. He performed brilliantly and won a Gold Medal in the event and has also been selected for the National Level. He also won a Gold Medal in the Zonal Competition held at Basava International School, Dwarka. Well done!

ShreeRam World School organized the Art Educators Meet on 6th October 2018 for the teachers of various schools across Delhi. The workshop was conducted by Kokuyo Camlin head promotional manager Mr. Raj Kumar with his team. Kokuyo Camlin is a widely used brand in the field of art and craft. The workshop was attended by 120 art teachers from various schools across Delhi. Teachers got the chance to use the new range of products and learnt innovative techniques that they can undertake in their schools to make learning more fun for their students. The workshop laid emphasis on the use of eco-friendly measures that can be taken while learning art. The teachers were taught a variety of drawings, painting techniques and paper bag making.

It was overall an interactive session where an open platform was provided to showcase talent and learn new styles at the same time.

It is a matter of great pride that the budding skaters of ShreeRam World School participated in the ‘3rd Inter-School Speed Skating Championship 2018’, organised by Dwarka Skating Club, held at Decathlon, Metro Walk, Sector 10, Rohini on 8th and 9th September 2018. Students from Classes Preschool to VII participated and won the 2nd runners-up trophy along with 26 medals for the school. Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the students of Class III D of ShreeRam World School on 4th September 2018. Dressed in attires of various mythological characters like Lord Vishnu, Goddess Durga and Kansa, the children gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration. A splendidly colorful program was organized where the students presented a melodious song, a lively dance performance and a well-scripted short role play.

They won the soul of the spectators by their act. The show enlightened the audience about the rich Indian traditions and culture. It conveyed the strong message of ‘Victory of good over evil’.

In order to honour Major Dhyan Chand, India’s hockey wizard and one of the greatest sportspersons the country has produced and to inculcate the importance of sports amongst students, ShreeRam World School celebrated the National Sports Day, the birth anniversary of the legend, on 29th August in the form of a special assembly and different activities related to sports and fitness.

The assembly, conducted by the students of Class IV B, commenced with the school prayer followed by an energetic and vibrant dance performance. The children conveyed to the audience how leadership skills, teamwork and patience can be inculcated through sports. They performed a skit in which they showcased the importance of sports in our daily lives. This was followed by an interesting quiz on the Asian Games 2018. The young minds were motivated to lead a healthy and active life.

ShreeRam World School, Dwarka celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The honourable Chief Guest and Chairman of the school, Shri S.K. Sachdeva, unfurled the Tricolour in the presence of esteemed dignitaries of the School Management Committee, the school staff and eager students to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation. All in unison sang the National Anthem with passion. This was followed by an inspirational address by the Chief Guest and a cultural programme which showcased the birth of the Indian National Flag and its journey through the years.

The history of our National Flag is the saga of our fight for freedom. This flag was born to liberate the people of India from the yoke of slavery. Many sons of the soil laid down their lives to uphold the honour of this flag during India’s freedom struggle. Our Tiranga has been woven on the loom of faith beyond the barriers of caste, colour, creed, religion and language. The evolution of the Indian National Flag sailed through many vicissitudes to arrive at what it is today. The students enlightened everyone by showcasing the various changes that our National Flag went through since its first inception and its significance. The children’s performance was appreciated by one and all.

A Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the shining stars of Preschool on the theme ‘Water World’. All the students participated with zest and vigour as they came dressed up as different creatures of the Water World along with a strong message to save the ocean life.

The efforts and hard work of the children were appreciable. The event created a colourful and serene ambience showcasing how scintillating ocean life is. It was wonderful to watch the little ones captivating the audience with their performances.

Students of ShreeRam World School participated in the Flag Hoisting Relay Race in the ‘Junior Sports’ event organized at DIS Edge, Sector 18, Dwarka on 25th July 2018. The atmosphere was vibrant with a lot of prestigious schools participating in the event. Six students from Preprimary – Riyan Sharma, Shaurya, Aniket, Samaira Sharma, Aradhya Kanwar and Ashu participated and bagged the 2nd runners up trophy for the school. Well done!

 A Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the shining stars of Preprimary on the theme Flora and Fauna from 23rd July to 27th July 2018. All the students participated with full zest and vigor as they came dressed up as different plants and animals. Each of them delivered a strong message about saving the ecosystem.

The effort and hard work of the children was appreciable. The event created a colourful and enthusiastic ambience which looked like a medley of flora and fauna all around. All the children enjoyed and cheered each other’s performances. It was indeed a visual treat to watch the little wonders enact and talk about preserving the nature.

To promote a secure and happy environment that is free from any threat, harassment or bullying, ShreeRam World School organized an ‘Anti-Bullying Workshop’ for the students of classes VI-IX on 20th July 2018. The workshop was conducted by Ms Monisha Gupta from Scholastic India. It began with a discussion on bullying wherein Ms Monisha explained the students what bullying actually means and what all does it entail. The students were also familiarized with the various types of bullying to help them identify bullying when it takes place anywhere around them and also to make them understand what roles they should play when it takes place. The students, on their part, too voiced their understanding of the term ‘bullying’.

Students were encouraged to recognize, reject and report bullying to responsible adults. Needless to say, the workshop turned out to be an eye opener for the youngsters stepping onto the threshold of teenage.

Simplicity is a great virtue ─ more talked than practised! Simplicity makes life not only easy, comfortable, enjoyable, but beautiful also. The sun shines so simply; the stars twinkle without any subterfuge; rivers flow so innocently; flowers bloom so simply! All great men of all times have been simple personalities. They dedicated all their lives in making the complex the simple. Mahatma Gandhi, Tagore, APJ Abdul Kalam, Mother Teresa, Sarojini Naidu and many more, were all simple beings. However, their thinking was sublimely high.

A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class V on the theme ‘Simple living and High Thinking’ on 18th July 2018. A short skit was presented by the students conveying the message to the audience that we must lead a simple life but at the same time our thinking must not be limited.  They enthralled everyone with their confidence. Different students came up dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, APJ Abdul Kalam and Sarojini Naidu. The students also sang a foot-tapping song highlighting the importance of simple living and high thinking. All the students participated with a lot of zeal and wholeheartedly gave their contribution. The assembly concluded with the Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi enlightening everyone on how one can accomplish great things by leading a simple and meaningful life.

18th July 2018: "Regalia" - Fancy Dress Competition - Class I
Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in school for the all-round development of the child. ShreeRam World School conducted the ‘Regalia’ - Fancy Dress Competition for the students of Class I from 16th July to 19th July, 2018. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun, but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of an audience.

The theme of the event was ‘Go Green’ where children came dressed up as trees, Mother Earth, seed, LED light, CNG etc. They emphasized upon the importance of trees in our lives and the need of saving the Earth. The little ones came up with wonderful ideas like car-pooling, how our environment would be in 2051 etc. which stirred the minds of everyone present.

The effort and hard work of children was commendable. The competition created an amiable ambience and the audience cheered the performances with thunderous applause. It proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in school for the all-round development of the child. ShreeRam World School conducted the ‘Regalia’ - Fancy Dress Competition for the students of Class II from 9th July to 12th July, 2018. The theme of the event was ‘My Favourite Youth Icon’ where the students depicted eminent personalities from various fields like sports, business, politics etc. Children were dressed up as Indra Nooyi, Sania Mirza, Priyanka Chopra, Virat Kohli etc. They came in colourful costumes and spoke about the character they portrayed. Interestingly, a large number of students look up to different sportspersons as their icons.

The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young performers and appreciated them thoroughly.

14th July 2018: ALL GIRLS’ BEHES DEBATE TOURNAMENT

Students of ShreeRam World School participated in the All Girls’ Behes Debate tournament held at Queen’s Valley School, Dwarka. The debate tournament aimed at contributing to the cause of women empowerment through verbal expression and agency. The theme was ‘Trouble in Paradise’ which exemplifies the contemporary concept of fissures in socio-political systems and the importance of emerging victorious.
The students competed with over 30 teams and had an enriching experience. Prachi Bhakal, Disha Mittal and Harshleen Kaur of Class VII cleared the Qualifying Rounds and made it to the Knockout Rounds. Sandli Mishra of class VIII and Prachi Bhakal of Class VII were amongst the top 30 best speakers of the Qualifying Rounds in the Cubs Division. All the participants presented their views and spoke enthusiastically. They received an overwhelming response from the audience. It was a great learning experience for all of them.

Social media is a word that has become an integral part of everyone’s life in today’s world. It has literally made the world a smaller place, helping people connect, share and exchange information from across the globe. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class IX on the topic ‘Social Media and Youthon 11th July 2018. The students presented a skit showcasing how people these days are addicted to social media. The line between the virtual world and offline reality has become quite blurred. However, the skit also emphasized how social media offers a global platform to express views and ideas if we embrace it judiciously. The students also sang a foot-tapping rap song highlighting how integral and indispensable social media is in our lives.

The assembly concluded with the Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi, urging everyone to use social media wisely and responsibly.

“Art in not an imitation and it cannot be taught to anyone. It is an expression of who you are.”

Madhubani painting is a style of Indian painting practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar and the adjoining parts ofTerai in Nepal. These paintings were done traditionally by the women on freshly plastered mud walls and floors of huts but now they are also done on cloth, handmade paper and canvas.

To discover the innate creative talent of students, ShreeRam World School organized a Madhubani Painting Competition on 15th May 2018 for the students of classes VI to IX. The aim of the competition was to encourage, nurture and showcase every child's natural creative flair. It also helped them to learn to explore the extent of theirimagination and express themselves with greater levels of creativity and refinement.

“Admiration comes easy to a person, who is endowed with the fine art of public speaking, who adorns common thoughts with the grace of elocution, and the elegancy of style.”

ShreeRam World School conducted ‘Expresso’, an Elocution Competition for classes III to V on 14th May 2018. The children spoke with confidence and enthusiasm. Some started their speech with a poem, some with a quote. The objective of this intra-section competition was to make the students confident and better orators so that they can fearlessly express their views on any topic. It was like an outlet for all the students to shrug off their stage fear and speak on the given topic with confidence. The topics were ‘When I Grow Up, I Want to Be’ for class III, ‘Eat Healthy, Be Happy’ for Class IV and ‘The Value of Discipline’ for Class V. They left no stone unturned to give their best. The students showed great fervor and poise in their presentations.

The saying, “God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers” is so true. Our world revolves around our mothers and to honour her, the second Sunday of May is celebrated as Mother’s Day every year. This year, Mother’s Day is on May 13 and to pay tribute to that one special person in our lives, students of Class VIII of ShreeRam World School conducted a special assembly.

The students soulfully recited poems to appreciate and thank for all their mothers do for them. They sang a beautiful song to show love for their mothers and telling them that no matter how far they are apart, they will always hold the first place in their children’s heart. The girls showcased a heartening dance performance on the song ‘Ma meri ma’. Ms Priyanka presented a melodious song dedicated to all the mothers.

The Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi appreciated the efforts of the students for presenting such a heartwarming assembly and motivated all the students to help and respect their mothers for their unconditional love and support and being the pillars of strength in their lives.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, various activities like Card Making, Scrapbook Making etc. were organized with a view to sensitize the children and encourage them to make the day memorable for their mothers.

So we need the support of people around us to achieve our goals."


Labour Day is usually celebrated on 1st May every year. This day is also known as the May day. It is celebrated in order to acknowledge the achievements of workers. It is a day specially dedicated to celebrate hard work and determination of the workers. Labour Day has its origins in the
labour union movement,when  the working class went on strike to defend their rights and to safeguard their interests. 

On the occasion of Labour Day, the students of class VII A had the privilege of conducting the morning assembly displaying gratitude and admiration for the school’s support staff. A well scripted skit and a poem recitation by the students delighted everyone. The objective was to teach children about the importance and value of Labour day. Students appreciated the dedication of the school support staff and thanked them. A melodious song was also sung by the students to highlight the importance of hard work.

Head of School, Ms. Sudha Sadangi, also thanked the support staff for their hard work and loyalty to the institution. She encouraged students to respect all those who make our life easy.

The theme of the competition was ‘Dhara Ka Uphar Bemisal’. Mother Earth is a common expression for the planet earth in a number of countries and regions, which reflects the interdependence that exists among human beings, other living species and the planet we all inhabit. The Earth and its ecosystems are our home. In order to achieve a just balance among the economic, social, and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is necessary to promote harmony with nature and the Earth.

Our planet Earth has its own day of celebration: April 22nd every year. It's a day when we pause to think about the environment. It's a great day to showcase environmental education, highlight effort to green the school and engage the whole student community in making a difference. Keeping the same message in mind, a special assembly was conducted by Class VI students at ShreeRam World School on April 20, 2018 which conveyed the message towards protecting our precious earth and its valuable resources, so that they can be available to us for many years to come.

The students of class VI presented a foot tapping song 'Together we can change the world', which enlightened the students and everyone else present about the importance of our Mother Earth. They spoke on the significance of the day and instigated their fellow mates to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.

On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative activities like Poster Making, Bookmark Making and various colouring activities were organized with a view to sensitize the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful.

The whole school was filled with heart-warming and ecologically poignant art works and displays done by students.

ShreeRam World School organized a Times NIE workshop for the students of classes III to IX to familiarize them with the Times NIE Student Edition and helping them gain an insight into the various benefits it provides to the students. The workshop was conducted by MsVandanaTandon from Times NIE.

It was an insightful session which encouraged students to explore by thinking with a creative and analytical mind, thus, bringing about their all-round development. The children bubbled with enthusiasm on knowing that the customized Student Edition has been packed with a plethora of activities and content aimed at smarter and superior learning experience for them which will enable these young adults to understand the fascinating world better.

The students were also intrigued to know that the content in Times NIE is crafted to enable them to gain knowledge about their topics of interest and thus enrich the knowledge of the students. The students were also made aware of various ways in which the NIE Student Edition gives education a new dimension by fostering the habit of reading, which in turn makes themwell-informed and confident.

ShreeRam World School, Sector 10, Dwarka participated in the 6th Inter-School Yogathon Championship on 6th April 2018 held at N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Sector 4, Dwarka. The atmosphere was vibrant with majority of the schools in Dwarka participating in the event. All the students performed brilliantly and Aryan from Class VII bagged a bronze medal. Well done!

The importance of sports in the life of a young student is invaluable. Sports and games are the ways of enhancing the children’s mental and physical growth. They help them in character building and provides them energy and strength. A healthy diet and an active lifestyle will bring good results in the children’s lifestyle, minds and bodies. ShreeRam World School organized a ‘Women’s Football Fiesta’ on 8th March 2018 for the girls of the age group 3-13 years as part of an initiative by AFC (Asian Football Confederation). The Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi, inspired and motivated the girls to enthusiastically indulge themselves in sports. The event was held to provide a brilliant opportunity to the girls towards development of their personality and confidence.

The festival sought to develop and increase participation of women and girls in football. The event proved to be a grand success to underline the benefits for girls participating in sports because of the long-term positive effects they can have on their well-being and livelihood.

Trips and excursions are an integral part of the learning process. An educational trip instils a sense of appreciation for the wonders of the world and exposes one to our cultural heritage. In order to achieve this, ShreeRam World School conducted an excursion for the students of Class I to the National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri. The children were thrilled to witness the rail heritage of India. They saw various informative models based on the Indian Railways. They were excited to see exhibits of wagons, coaches and engines displayed in the exhibition hall. The toy-train ride was an experience in itself for the children. Every time it passed through a tunnel, the ecstatic students clapped and cheered. It was a great learning experience for the children and they enjoyed it thoroughly. Exposing children to newer experiences arouses their curiosity about the world around them. The school aims at providing them with opportunities to explore and learn about what lies beyond the walls of the school and home, and gain the exposure to take on the world.

Holi is the festival of colours which signifies the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated to spread the message of love, harmony and brotherhood.

To rejoice in the spirit of this colourful festival, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Class I Daisy on ‘Holi.’ The assembly began with a short skit through which the audience was enlightened about the significance of the festival. The students spoke about the significance of the ‘Colours of the Rainbow’.  They also presented an enthralling Holi Rap- ‘Fir Holi aayi re’ which aimed at motivating the audience to celebrate the festival in an environment-friendly way. The assembly concluded with a scintillating dance performance by the students, on a medley of popular holi songs which made everyone tap their feet.

The head of the school Ms. Sudha Sadangi addressed the assembly and appreciated the efforts of the students for their immense hard work and dedication.
